【摘要】:Theserequirementscovercord-connected,relocatablepowertapsrated250VACorlessand20AACorless.Arelocatablepowertap(RPT)isintendedonlyforindooruseasatemporaryextensionofagroundingalternating-currentbranchcircuitforgeneraluse.Acord-connectedproductwithlessthanthreereceptacleoutletsthatemploysanelectromagneticinterferencefilteroratransientvoltagesurgesuppressoriscoveredundertheStandardforElectromagneticInterferenceFilters,UL1283,andtheStandardforSurgeProtectiveDevices,UL1449,respectively.Acord-connectedproductwiththreeormorereceptacleoutletsthatemploysanelectromagneticinterferencefiltershallalsocomplywiththeStandardforElectromagneticInterferenceFilters,UL1283.Acord-connectedproductwiththreeormorereceptacleoutletsthatemploysatransientvoltagesurgesuppressorshallalsocomplywiththeStandardforSurgeProtectiveDevices,UL1449.TelephoneequipmentandcommunicationcircuitprotectorsincludedinaRPTshallcomplywiththerequirementsintheStandardforTelephoneEquipment,UL1459,andtherequirementsintheStandardforSecondaryProtectorsforCommunicationsCircuits,UL497A,respectively.ARPTthatincorporatesanantennadischargeunitorprovidesantennaconnectionstoatelevision,ahigh-voltagevideoproduct,orantennashallcomplywiththeapplicablerequirementsintheStandardforAntennaDischargeUnits,UL452,andtheStandardforAudio-VideoProductsandAccessories,UL1492.Acord-connectedproductthatemploysground-faultprotectionisinvestigatedundertherequirementsintheStandardforGround-FaultCircuitInterrupters,UL943.Acord-connectedRPTisnotintendedtobeconnectedtoanothercord-connectedRPT.ThisstandarddoesnotcoverRPTsintendedforusewithmedicalequipment.MedicalequipmentistypicallyintendedforuseinGeneralPatientCareAreasorCriticalPatientCareAreasasdefinedbyArticle517oftheNationalElectricalCodeforHealthCareFacilities.RPTsintendedforsuchuseshallcomplywiththerequirementsoftheStandardforSafetyofMedicalElectricalEquipment,Part1:GeneralRequirements,UL60601-1andtheStandardforSafetyRequirementsforMedicalElectricalSystems,IEC60601-1-1.ARPTmayemploynon-electricaldecorativefeatures.Thedecorativefeaturesmayincludevariousshapessuchasrocks,birdsandanimals,etc.TheserequirementsdonotcoverDecorativeOutfitsAccessories.DecorativeOutfitsAccessoriesareinvestigatedundertherequirementsintheStandardforSeasonalandHolidayDecorativeProducts,UL588.
